Makes ~ 1/3 cup
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp fermented black beans
- 1 1/2 tablespoons tahini
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 1/2 tsp rice vinegar
- 1/4 tsp chili powder
- 1/2 tsp five spice powder
- water
Instructions
- Mix the fermented black beans with twice their volume of boiling water
- After soaking, mash the black beans
- Continue mashing while adding the other ingredients
- Add water until it reaches the desired consistency
- it can be cooked in a sauce pan to thicken it up, if preferred
Store in the fridge.
