Manju
Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 4 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 cup white sugar
- 2/3 - 3/4 cup water
- 3/4 lb anko (about a half batch from this recipe)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix flour & baking powder, and sugar
- Slowly pour the water into the flour, stirring constantly
- Knead the dough until smooth
- Divide the dough into 12 parts, rolling each into balls
- Flatten each ball and then put some anko (a teaspoon or little more) then wrap the dough around to close the bun
- Place the balls on individually cut parchment paper squares (about 2" by 2")
- Steam on high heat for about 10 minutes
