Ingredients
- block of tofu
 - 2 tbsp tomato paste
 - 1 tbsp dijon mustard
 - 1 tbsp soy sauce
 - 1 tbsp maple syrup
 - 1 tbsp water
 - ground black pepper
 - garlic
 - 1/2 cup (or more) breadcrumbs / panko
 - 2 tbps+ oil for frying
 
Instructions
- press tofu to get water out (~30 minutes+)
 - cut tofu block into slabs of the desired thickness (I like about 1/2")
 - mine garlic
 - combine all ingredients except tofu and breadcrumbs into a paste
 - coat each slab of tofu in the tomato paste
 - coat each slab of tofu in breadcrumbs
 - heat oil on medium for frying
 - fry each tofu slab, one side at a time, for several minutes / side
 
Try with ponzu sauce on top when eating!
